Established in 1988, Portreath Bakery opened as a small outlet in a coastal Cornish village by Marion and Pete Symonds. The couple grew a popular reputation for the business over time, supplying local restaurants and shops with fresh bread, cakes and Cornish Pasties.

Over the space of 3 decades the business expanded to open new shops and take on larger customers, and in 2018 Marion and Pete opened a new production facility with a high-care bakery area, this launched their journey into the gluten free market.
