The team at Portreath Bakery, home of Made Marion Gluten Free were delighted to welcome HRH The Duchess of Gloucester GCVO to their main production site on Wilson Way, Pool today. The Duchess of Gloucester took a tour of the Made Marion Gluten Free dedicated gluten free site and met several members of the production team who showed her how the Gluten Free Traditional Pasties and Breads are made explaining the challenges and complexities of producing products that don’t contain gluten.

During the visit the Duchess of Gloucester was shown the investment in equipment that has been made including ovens and high care facility. After the tour of the site, the Duchess unveiled a plaque to commemorate her visit and was presented with flowers and gifts by Harley Chudleigh and Chloe Pearce. She also had the opportunity to try some of the companies award-winning products and meet members of the team. Said Marion Symonds, CEO ‘It was a great honour to welcome HRH The Duchess of Gloucester to Made Marion Gluten Free today and for her meet our wonderful team and see some of the products we make being made.’
